OFF HAWAII DETAILING
TERMS & CONDITIONS
By booking a service with Off Hawaii Detailing (“Off Hawaii Detailing”, “we”, “our”, or “us”), the customer (“client”, “vehicle owner”, or “you”) agrees to the following Terms & Conditions.
These terms are designed to ensure transparency, proper expectations, and protection for both the client and Off Hawaii Detailing.
1. PRE-EXISTING CONDITION ACKNOWLEDGMENT
The client acknowledges that vehicles may have pre-existing conditions or defects including, but not limited to:
- Scratches, swirl marks, rock chips, dents, paint fading, oxidation, or etching
- Previous repairs, repainting, bodywork, or touch-up paint
- Interior stains, odors, discoloration, cracking, fading, or wear
- Loose, damaged, or aged trim, plastics, emblems, badges, wraps, PPF, tint, or aftermarket accessories
- Mechanical or electrical issues unrelated to detailing services
Cleaning, decontamination, polishing, steam cleaning, extraction, and lighting may reveal defects or imperfections that were not previously visible.
Off Hawaii Detailing is not responsible for pre-existing damage or defects.
2. SERVICE RESULTS & EXPECTATIONS
Detailing outcomes vary depending on the condition, age, materials, maintenance history, and overall condition of the vehicle.
The client understands and agrees that:
- Not all stains, odors, scratches, swirls, water spots, or imperfections can be completely removed
- Some contamination or defects may be permanent
- Heavily neglected vehicles may require additional time, labor, or charges
- Black, dark-colored, and soft paint vehicles are more susceptible to visible marring and swirl marks
- Results may vary depending on environmental conditions and previous vehicle history
Off Hawaii Detailing does not guarantee “showroom new” or “perfect” results unless explicitly stated in writing.
3. CERAMIC COATING TERMS
Ceramic coating services provided by Off Hawaii Detailing utilize professional-grade coatings designed to enhance gloss, hydrophobic performance, and long-term surface protection.
The client understands and agrees that:
- Ceramic coatings are NOT scratch-proof, chip-proof, or water spot-proof
- Improper washing, automatic car washes, environmental fallout, hard water, chemicals, bird droppings, and neglect can affect coating performance
- Swirl marks and surface marring may still occur over time through regular use and washing
- Coating longevity varies depending on maintenance, driving conditions, storage, and environmental exposure
- Hydrophobic performance may naturally diminish over time without proper maintenance
- Warranty coverage may require registration, routine maintenance, and/or annual inspections depending on coating type
The client is responsible for following all aftercare instructions provided by Off Hawaii Detailing.
4. CERAMIC COATING CURE PERIOD
After ceramic coating installation:
- The vehicle should remain dry and protected from rain, sprinklers, chemicals, or washing during the recommended cure period
- Avoid washing the vehicle with soaps or chemicals during the initial cure window
- Environmental contamination during curing may affect coating performance
Off Hawaii Detailing is not responsible for issues caused by failure to follow cure-time instructions.
5. VEHICLE BELONGINGS & PERSONAL ITEMS
Clients are responsible for removing valuables and personal belongings from the vehicle prior to service.
Off Hawaii Detailing is not responsible for:
- Lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings
- Cash, electronics, firearms, jewelry, documents, or other valuables left inside the vehicle
Excessive personal belongings, trash, debris, biohazards, pet hair, or excessive contamination may result in additional charges.
6. AFTERMARKET & MODIFIED VEHICLES
Off Hawaii Detailing is not responsible for damage or failure involving:
- Aftermarket parts or accessories
- Previously repaired or repainted surfaces
- Loose or aged trim/emblems
- Vinyl wraps, PPF, decals, or window tint
- Lowered, lifted, or modified vehicles
- Electronics, lighting, audio systems, or custom installations
Certain aged or fragile materials may become more vulnerable during cleaning or restoration processes.
7. HEALTH & SAFETY CONDITIONS
Clients must disclose any hazardous materials or unsafe conditions present in the vehicle prior to service.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Needles or sharp objects
- Mold, bodily fluids, biohazards, or chemical spills
- Strong odors, gasoline, drugs, or unsafe substances
Off Hawaii Detailing reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service if a vehicle presents a health or safety risk.
Additional charges may apply for hazardous condition remediation.
8. APPOINTMENTS & CANCELLATION POLICY
Appointments require accurate vehicle information and condition disclosure at the time of booking.
Pricing is based on:
- Vehicle size
- Vehicle condition
- Service selected
- Estimated labor time
Off Hawaii Detailing reserves the right to adjust pricing if the actual vehicle condition differs significantly from the original booking information.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
- A minimum of 24 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment
- Deposits and booking fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated
- Same-day cancellations or no-shows may be subject to cancellation fees up to 50% of the scheduled service total
- If the vehicle or client is unavailable at the scheduled appointment time, the appointment may be considered a no-show
Off Hawaii Detailing reserves the right to refuse service or reschedule appointments due to weather, safety concerns, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances.
9. PAYMENT TERMS
Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Accepted payment methods may include:
- Cash
- Credit/Debit Cards
- ACH Transfers
- Approved Digital Payments
The client authorizes Off Hawaii Detailing to charge the card on file for:
- Approved services
- Deposits
- Cancellation fees
- Outstanding balances
Returned payments, failed transactions, or chargebacks may incur additional fees.
Unpaid invoices may be subject to collections and recovery costs where permitted by law.
10. LIABILITY LIMITATIONS
Off Hawaii Detailing will exercise reasonable care while servicing the vehicle.
However, Off Hawaii Detailing is NOT responsible for:
- Pre-existing damage or defects
- Previously repaired or repainted surfaces
- Mechanical or electrical failures not caused by negligence
- Damage caused by worn, aged, brittle, or improperly installed components
- Issues discovered during cleaning, polishing, extraction, steam cleaning, or decontamination
- Normal wear and tear revealed during detailing processes
Any concerns regarding service quality or potential damage must be reported within 24 hours of service completion.
Off Hawaii Detailing reserves the right to inspect and address any concerns before outside repairs or claims are authorized.
11. PHOTOS & VIDEO AUTHORIZATION
The client authorizes Off Hawaii Detailing to photograph or video the vehicle for:
- Service documentation
- Quality control
- Marketing and promotional use
- Social media and website content
Personal information such as license plates or documents may be blurred or concealed at our discretion.
12. SATISFACTION POLICY
Client satisfaction is important to us.
If there are concerns regarding the completed service, the client must notify Off Hawaii Detailing within 24 hours of service completion.
Off Hawaii Detailing may offer a reasonable touch-up or correction when appropriate.
Refunds are not guaranteed and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
13. RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE
Off Hawaii Detailing reserves the right to refuse, deny, or discontinue service at any time for reasons including but not limited to:
- Unsafe working conditions
- Hazardous materials
- Aggressive or inappropriate behavior
- Excessive vehicle condition beyond the booked service scope
- Inability to safely complete the requested service
14. AGREEMENT
By booking, approving, or paying for services provided by Off Hawaii Detailing, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions in full.
