Terms and Conditions
Scope of Services:
These terms apply to all MAD Tintz window-film installation services, including automotive, residential, and commercial applications. By commissioning any service, the client agrees to the conditions below.
Guiding Principles:
Our mission is to provide a seamless, stress-free installation experience while protecting your vehicle or property. We will not perform any service that could reasonably damage glass, frames, electronics, or surrounding finishes. We will not apply film to automotive windshields on vehicles with leather dashboards due to heat-related risk.
Site / Vehicle Condition & Pre-Service Disclosure:
Clients must disclose prior damage, failing seals, scratched glass, or malfunctioning electronics that may affect installation. For on-site residential or commercial work, the area around windows must be clear and accessible; fragile items should be removed in advance.
Health and Safety:
Please inform us of any hazardous materials, asbestos, or biohazards on-site or inside the vehicle. MAD Tintz is not liable for health issues arising from undisclosed hazards.
Service Denial:
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service due to unsafe conditions or undisclosed issues. In such cases, the scheduled service fee remains payable.
Legal & Code Compliance:
Automotive clients are responsible for compliance with state VLT limits (TN: 70 % windshield, 35 % other windows). Building owners are responsible for local code, HOA, or landlord requirements. All fines or penalties for non-compliant film are the client’s responsibility.
Pricing and Additional Charges:
Pricing is based on glass size, access difficulty, old-film removal, and chosen product line. Additional fees apply for ladder / lift use, hardened adhesive removal, or tempered-glass edge work. Clients will be notified before extra charges are assessed.
Communication Consent:
By booking, you authorize MAD Tintz to send emails or SMS for scheduling, updates, and warranties. Opt-out requests will be honored.
Marketing & Media Release:
You permit us to photograph or film installations for marketing. Media will never be sold to third parties.
Deposits and Cancellation:
A 30 % non-refundable deposit secures your appointment. Rescheduling with ≥ 24 hours’ notice keeps the deposit active. Cancellations < 24 hours forfeit the deposit.
Payment Terms:
Balance is due on completion. Card payments incur a 3.5 % processing fee. Invoices unpaid after 24 hours accrue 5 % late fee, plus 1.5 % per month thereafter. Film warranty is void until payment is received in full.
Limited Warranty & Liability:
We warrant our film against bubbling, peeling, and discoloration for 12 months on compliant installations (72 hours for non-compliant tint). Report installation-related damage within 24 hours. Liability is limited to re-installation or refund of the film portion only.
Indemnification:
Clients agree to indemnify and hold harmless MAD Tintz and its personnel from claims arising out of services, except for proven gross negligence.
Dispute Resolution:
Disputes will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation, then mediation in Chattanooga, TN. If litigation ensues, the prevailing party may recover attorney fees.
