1. Pre-Detail Preparation
✔ Park the motorcycle in a shaded area and let the engine cool down.
✔ Remove saddlebags, seat, and any detachable components for easier access.
✔ Cover sensitive electrical parts, air intakes, and exhaust openings with plastic bags.
✔ Gather necessary supplies: pH-balanced soap, degreaser, brushes, microfiber towels, wax, polish, and a blower.
2. Initial Rinse & Degreasing
✔ Use a low-pressure hose to rinse off loose dirt and dust.
✔ Apply a motorcycle-safe degreaser to the chain, engine, and any greasy areas.
✔ Agitate with a soft brush, then rinse thoroughly to remove buildup.
3. Hand Wash
✔ Fill a bucket with warm, soapy water (using a pH-neutral motorcycle shampoo).
✔ Use a microfiber wash mitt or soft sponge to clean the bike from top to bottom.
✔ Use separate brushes or mitts for wheels and tires to prevent cross-contamination.
✔ Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue.
4. Drying
✔ Use a microfiber towel or air blower to dry the bike completely.
✔ Pay attention to water trapped in crevices, switches, and around the engine.
5. Paint & Chrome Polishing
✔ Apply a light polish or rubbing compound (if needed) to remove swirls or oxidation.
✔ Use a chrome polish on metal parts to restore shine.
✔ Buff with a microfiber towel for a smooth, glossy finish.
6. Protection & Waxing
✔ Apply a high-quality spray wax or ceramic coating to the painted surfaces.
✔ Use a plastic restorer on faded trims and rubber parts.
✔ Protect the seat with a leather/vinyl conditioner.
7. Wheels & Tires Detailing
✔ Use a dedicated wheel cleaner and brush to remove brake dust and grime.
✔ Polish metal spokes or rims with a metal polish.
✔ Apply a non-greasy tire dressing to enhance appearance without making tires slippery.
