Automotive Window Tint Removal Disclaimer
At Carolina Tint Company, we take every precaution to ensure a safe and professional window tint removal process. However, due to the inherent risks involved in removing aftermarket window film, especially from older vehicles or those with pre-existing conditions, we kindly ask our customers to review and acknowledge the following disclaimer:
Risk of Defroster Damage
The process of removing window tint from rear windshields carries the potential risk of damaging factory-installed defroster lines. Although we utilize industry-standard techniques to minimize this risk, the condition and adhesion of the tint film—particularly on aged or poorly installed films—can make defroster damage unavoidable. Carolina Tint Company is not responsible for any damage to defroster lines that may occur during the removal process.
No Razor Blades on Rear Windshields or UVU-Coated Glass
For your vehicle’s protection, we strictly avoid the use of razor blades or any metal scraping tools on rear windshields with defroster lines, as well as on any glass surfaces with UVU (Ultraviolet-absorbing) coatings. Instead, we employ non-invasive, professional-grade methods designed to preserve the integrity of these sensitive surfaces.
Pre-Existing Conditions
Any existing damage, deterioration, or prior repairs to the glass, tint, or defroster system may increase the likelihood of complications during tint removal. Customers should be aware that we cannot be held liable for issues resulting from such pre-existing conditions.
No Guarantee on Adhesive Residue
While we make every effort to remove all tint film and adhesive residue, in some cases (especially with older or lower-quality tint), full removal may require additional labor or leave behind residual markings. Further cleaning or polishing may be recommended at the customer’s discretion and expense.
By proceeding with the tint removal service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this disclaimer, and you accept the outlined risks associated with the process.
