An ozone treatment is one of the most effective ways to restore a vehicle’s interior to a truly fresh, odor-free state. Think of it as a deep-cleaning reset for your car’s air quality.
Here’s what the process typically involves:
- **Preparation** – Interior detail, and thorough shampoo & extraction performed.
- **Ozone Generation** – A professional-grade ozone generator is placed inside the cabin. The machine converts oxygen (O₂) into ozone (O₃), which is then circulated through the vehicle’s vents, upholstery, carpets, and hard-to-reach crevices.
- **Oxidation Phase** – Ozone molecules actively seek out and neutralize odor-causing compounds, bacteria, mold spores, and volatile organic compounds at a molecular level. This step usually runs 30–90 minutes, depending on the severity of the odors and the size of the vehicle.
- **Ventilation & Safety Check** – Once the cycle is complete, the vehicle is thoroughly aired out. Ozone naturally reverts back to oxygen, leaving behind only fresh air. The interior is then inspected to ensure no residual ozone remains.
