Every booking at EXD includes a complimentary interior refresh. This is a vacuum and wipe down of key touch points to keep the cabin presentable. The interior detailing menu below covers work that goes beyond this basic refresh and targets deeper problems, wear and long term preservation.

Process:

Each vehicle is inspected under lighting and a plan is set for leather, fabrics, plastics and vents. Dry ice cleaning reaches into vents, seat rails and tight gaps without soaking the cabin. Steam targets high touch areas such as steering wheel, switches and handles. Leather is treated with professional systems to clean, condition and, where needed, restore colour and elasticity. Fabrics and Alcantara receive pH balanced foams that lift dirt without flattening the fibres. Ozone treatment finishes the service and neutralises odours in the air system and soft materials. The cabin is aired and finished with the EXD signature scent on request.

Interior Detailing Variations and Pricing:
All interior services follow the same careful process. The difference between levels is how deep we go into restoration and what protection is applied.

Interior Enhancement: 
Seasonal interior refresh for vehicles that are kept reasonably clean. Includes steam sanitising on touch points, focused dry ice work in vents and rails, surface cleaning on leather and plastics, light fabric treatment and ozone purification. Ideal for quarterly upkeep or before family trips.

Full Interior Restoration: 
Deep restoration for worn or neglected cabins. Includes extended dry ice cleaning on rails, vents and seat mechanisms, leather deep clean and rejuvenation, full upholstery extraction on carpets and seats where suitable, stain treatment and full ozone cycle. Best for vehicles with heavy use, food spills or strong odours.

Concours Interior: 
High level treatment for collectors and special vehicles. Includes the full restoration process plus ceramic interior coating on suitable leather, plastics and trims to resist dye transfer, light scratching and future staining. This level prepares the cabin for shows, resale photography or long term preservation.

When to book:
Interior Enhancement works well on a three to four month cycle for daily drivers. Full Interior Restoration suits vehicles that have gone through children, pets, work use or long neglect. Concours Interior is best before sale, delivery of a special vehicle, or as part of a full correction and protection package.

Engine Bay Presentation 

Engine bay presentation at EXD focuses on safe cleaning, material care and a presentable finish under the bonnet. Work happens with controlled products, measured pressure and full lighting, so labels, plastics and wiring stay protected.

Process
The bay is inspected while cool. Loose debris is removed, then degreasers and foams are applied in a controlled way. Sensitive areas are covered where needed. Rinsing is gentle and targeted. Plastics and rubber receive dressing, painted and metal areas are wiped and refined, and the bay is checked under LED lighting before handover.

Full Engine Bay Restoration (Dry Ice and Steam) – from R4 500
Deeper clean for bays with heavier build up. Includes extended dry ice and steam work on plastics, metals and tight areas. More time is spent on brackets, rails and hidden faces for a sharper result.

Paint Protection Film

XPEL Paint Protection Film is a clear, self-healing urethane that bonds to your paint and takes the impact of daily driving so your finish does not have to. Stone chips, road debris, light scratches, and environmental contaminants are absorbed by the film, leaving the paint underneath untouched.

At EXD, every PPF installation begins with a thorough preparation process. The surface is decontaminated, corrected where required, and cleaned to a defect-free standard before any film is applied. This ensures the film is installed on a surface worth protecting.

Coverage Options

Full Front covers the highest impact zones on your vehicle including the bonnet, front bumper, fenders, mirrors, and headlights. This is the most common starting point for daily-driven vehicles.

Full Car extends that protection to every painted panel on the vehicle, giving complete coverage from front to rear.

Film Options

XPEL XXG is our entry-level film, offering strong protection and optical clarity at a competitive price point. Preparation is quoted separately based on vehicle condition confirmed at inspection.

XPEL Ultimate Plus is the highest grade film in the XPEL range. It offers superior clarity, self-healing performance, and long-term durability. Level 3 paint correction is included as standard before installation.

Ceramic coating at EXD is a long-term paint protection treatment that bonds a durable hydrophobic layer to your vehicle's painted surfaces. The coating protects against UV damage, chemical staining, water spotting, and light surface contamination while enhancing gloss depth and making the vehicle significantly easier to maintain.

Every ceramic coating installation begins with a full Level 3 paint correction. The surface is decontaminated, corrected to a defect-free standard, and panel wiped before any coating is applied. This ensures the coating bonds to a clean, refined surface rather than sealing in imperfections.

Coating is applied in a controlled indoor environment under LED inspection lighting. Each panel is worked in measured sections and checked after application.

Window Tinting

Window tinting at EXD focuses on heat rejection, interior comfort and a clean, legal finish. Film is installed in a controlled bay with clean air, correct lighting and sharp knife work kept away from trims and rubbers. Only high quality films are used so colour, clarity and performance stay stable over time.

Process
Glass is cleaned and decontaminated, edges are prepared and old film is removed where required. Patterns are cut on a board or pre cut, never against the glass. Film is heat formed to match the curve of each window, then installed with slip solution and pressed out with dedicated tools. Edges are inspected, and the vehicle remains on site for initial cure before handover.

Vinyl Colour Change
Vinyl colour change at EXD is a full wrap service for clients who want a new look without repainting. The focus is clean install, safe removal in future and a finish that matches the standard of the rest of your EXD work. All wraps happen indoors under controlled lighting, with full panel prep and edge work that respects the original paint.

Process
The vehicle is washed, decontaminated and stripped of badges, plates and selected trims where needed. Panels are degreased and inspected for defects. Film is cut and laid out for each panel, then applied with controlled tension and heat. Edges are wrapped where possible for a factory style look. Seams are kept to a minimum and placed in logical, discreet areas. Once complete, the wrap is heat set, inspected under LED lighting and checked for lift points before handover.

DEALERSHIP REFRESH

Overview
Dealership Refresh is a pre sale preparation service built for forecourt, trade and consignment vehicles. The focus is to make the car presentable on the floor and in photos, without going into full correction or coating. It uses the same safe wash and interior methods as our retail work, with a structure that suits volume and repeat business.

Process
Each vehicle goes through a controlled exterior wash with decontamination on key areas. Wheels, tyres and arches receive full cleaning and dressing. The interior gets a deeper treatment than a standard valeting pass, with vacuum, wipe down, touch point cleaning and glass. The engine bay receives a light but safe enhancement. Exterior paint receives a gloss boosting hand finish suitable for photography and showroom lighting. Final checks happen under LED before the vehicle leaves the bay.
