Terms and Conditions for Diligent Auto Detailing
These terms and conditions govern your services with Diligent Auto Detailing. By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms, forming a legally binding agreement between you (the "Client") and Diligent Auto Detailing ("we," "us," "our"). Please read them carefully.
Ceramic Coating Service
Pre-Inspection and Vehicle Condition: Prior to applying the ceramic coating, a detailed inspection of the vehicle will be conducted by Diligent Auto Detailing. Any pre-existing damage, defects, or imperfections will be noted, and the Client will be informed. The ceramic coating service does not include the repair of any dents, rust, or other damage. The Client acknowledges that the coating will be applied over the current condition of the vehicle’s paint unless prior corrective services are performed.
Coating Preparation: Proper surface preparation is critical for the performance and longevity of the ceramic coating. Diligent Auto Detailing will perform a cleaning, decontamination, and paint correction prior to coating application. Any additional charges for these preparatory services will be communicated to the Client in advance. If the Client declines recommended paint correction, Diligent Auto Detailing will not be responsible for any imperfections visible after coating application.
Performance of Ceramic Coating: The ceramic coating is designed to protect the paint from environmental contaminants, UV rays, and provide hydrophobic properties. However, the effectiveness and longevity of the coating depend on proper vehicle care and maintenance, which is the Client’s responsibility. Ceramic coatings do not prevent stone chips or damage from extreme environmental conditions. It is not a replacement for proper vehicle care or maintenance.
Post-Application Care: After the ceramic coating is applied, the Client must follow the recommended curing time, which typically lasts 24-48 hours. During this period, the vehicle should not be exposed to moisture (rain, car washing, etc.). The Client should avoid washing the vehicle for at least one week after the application. Diligent Auto Detailing will provide detailed instructions on how to maintain the coating to maximize its effectiveness and longevity.
5-Year Ceramic Coating Warranty Terms
Warranty Coverage: Diligent Auto Detailing provides a 5-year limited warranty on ceramic coatings, which covers any defects in the application or performance of the coating for a period of five (5) years from the date of application. The warranty covers issues such as coating delamination, failure to protect against UV rays, loss of hydrophobic effect, or premature deterioration under normal conditions when the vehicle is properly maintained.
Warranty Conditions: To maintain the warranty, the Client must follow the ceramic coating maintenance instructions provided by Diligent Auto Detailing. This includes using appropriate cleaning products, techniques, and avoiding exposure to harmful chemicals. Annual inspections of the coating are strongly recommeded to ensure the coating is performly properly.
Warranty Claims: In the event of a potential warranty claim, the Client must contact Diligent Auto Detailing immediately upon noticing any defects. Diligent Auto Detailing will inspect the vehicle to determine the cause of the defect. If the defect is covered under the warranty, Diligent Auto Detailing will reapply the ceramic coating or take corrective action at no additional cost to the Client.
Exclusions from Warranty: This warranty does not cover damages caused by accidents, improper washing, exposure to harsh chemicals, or neglect (e.g., failure to follow recommended maintenance). The Client must provide documentation of proper care if requested in the event of a warranty claim.
Reccuring Detail Subscription Service
- Minimum Commitment:
- Clients subscribing to Diligent Auto Detailing’s recurring detail service must commit to a minimum of three (3) detailing services within their chosen time interval to be eligible for discounted detail rates. Available intervals are weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or every six (6) weeks. At least three (3) services must be completed within three (3) consecutive intervals.
- By subscribing, the Client authorizes Diligent Auto Detailing to schedule these services automatically according to the chosen interval and to charge the provided payment method accordingly.
- Service Scheduling:
- Diligent Auto Detailing will strive to arrive as close to the scheduled appointment time as possible. However, unforeseen circumstances such as inclement weather, equipment breakdowns, emergencies, or client unavailability may require a change in schedule.
- In such cases, Clients will be given the following options:
- Reschedule the Service: Choose a new date in close proximity to the original scheduled detail date, at no additional cost.
- Wait Until the Next Service Interval: Opt to wait until the next scheduled service interval according to the subscription plan.
No-Show and Service Completion Policy
- Service Completion Requirement:
- The Client is responsible for ensuring the vehicle is available and accessible at the scheduled location and time. The Client does not need to be present as long as the conditions allow for the detailing service to be fully completed.
- The vehicle must be parked in a safe, legal, and accessible area with sufficient space for the detailer to perform the service. Any necessary permissions for access must be arranged by the Client in advance.
- Full Charge for Incomplete Service:
- If the vehicle is not present, not accessible, or if any conditions prevent the completion of the scheduled service at the appointment time and location, Diligent Auto Detailing reserves the right to charge the full amount of the scheduled appointment. This charge will be automatically applied to the credit/debit card provided at the time of booking.
- Definition of Incomplete Service:
- An “Incomplete Service” is defined as a situation where, at the time of the scheduled appointment:
- The vehicle to be detailed is not available or accessible at the agreed-upon location.
- Access to the vehicle is obstructed or denied due to factors such as locked gates, unavailable keys, or other vehicles blocking access.
- Any condition exists that prevents the detail technician from performing the scheduled service (e.g., hazardous conditions, inadequate lighting, or other safety concerns).
- Notification and Charges:
- Clients will be notified if their appointment is deemed an Incomplete Service. The full amount for the scheduled service will be processed immediately, and no rescheduling will be offered unless otherwise specified by Diligent Auto Detailing.
- Distinction from Cancellation Policy:
- This Incomplete Service policy is separate from the cancellation policy. To avoid charges under this policy, Clients must ensure the vehicle is available and accessible or follow the cancellation procedure outlined in the Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy section.
Property Damage and Liability
- Indemnification:
- The Client agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Diligent Auto Detailing, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, costs, and liabilities (including attorney and legal fees) arising out of or related to Diligent Auto Detailing's services, including any accidental property damage not directly related to the services performed.
- The Client acknowledges that the nature of Diligent Auto Detailing's services may involve certain risks, and the Client assumes such risks. This indemnification obligation shall survive the termination of these terms and the completion of any services.
- Equipment and Items in Vehicle:
- Diligent Auto Detailing will not remove or install any car seats, custom equipment, or personal items from the vehicle unless absolutely necessary and expressly approved by the Client. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Car seats
- Subwoofers
- Light bars
- Seat covers
- Pet protectors
- Bumper stickers
- If these items need to be cleaned underneath, Clients are required to remove them prior to the scheduled appointment.
Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
- Notice Requirement:
- A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required to change or cancel a scheduled appointment. Failure to provide adequate notice will result in a charge as specified below.
- Cancellation Fees:
- A hold for the full amount of the scheduled appointment may be placed on the provided credit/debit card 24 hours before the appointment. If a Client wishes to change their appointment with less than 24 hours' notice, the following options are available:
- Reschedule: Reschedule the appointment at no additional cost. The charge for the appointment will be processed at the time of rescheduling, but the Client can choose another date and time within their subscription interval.
- Cancellation with Fee: Cancel the appointment with a cancellation charge equivalent to 50% of the service fee. The hold on the card will be released, and the cancellation fee will be charged to the same card. This option is valid up to six (6) hours before the scheduled appointment.
- Convert to Gift Card: Convert the scheduled appointment to a gift card for future use or as a gift. This option is not available for fleet or business vehicle bookings.
No Guarantees
- Condition Guarantee:
- Diligent Auto Detailing does not guarantee the restoration of the vehicle to a specific condition (e.g., "Showroom New"). The results of the detailing services depend on the condition of the vehicle and the extent of the detailing work performed.
Payment Terms
- Payment Methods:
- Payment is due upon completion of the detailing service. We accept cash and credit cards. If payment was made online, the card will not be charged until after service completion unless a deposit is required. Additional charges may apply for non-sufficient funds or returned payments.
- All fees and charges are non-refundable except as explicitly stated in these terms.
Photographs and Video
- Media Consent:
- By subscribing to our services, Clients grant Diligent Auto Detailing permission to take photographs or video footage of their vehicle before, during, and after detailing for marketing and promotional purposes. These materials will not be sold or given to third parties without the Client's express consent.
Damage and Accidents
- Minor and Major Damage:
- Diligent Auto Detailing is not responsible for minor cosmetic damages that may occur during the detailing process, such as minor scratches, scuffs, or swirl marks.
- Reimbursement will be considered for major damages resulting directly from our gross negligence or willful misconduct. Any such reimbursements will be contingent upon Diligent Auto Detailing approving the repair vendor or body shop.
- Reporting Damage:
- If any damage or issue arises post-detailing that was not identified during the final walk-around, the Client must notify Diligent Auto Detailing within 24 hours. If deemed necessary, a touch-up detail or repair will be scheduled within five (5) days of notification. Failure to notify Diligent Auto Detailing within this period will waive any claims for such damage.
Modifications to Terms and Conditions
- Right to Modify:
- Diligent Auto Detailing reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Any modifications will be effective immediately upon posting on our website or otherwise communicating them to the Client. Continued use of the services following any modifications constitutes acceptance of those changes.
By subscribing to our recurring detail service, Clients acknowledge and agree to all terms and conditions outlined above. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not subscribe to or use our services.
