Terms & Conditions (T&C) – GENERAL
CUSTOMER: You, as the customer, represent the booked vehicle to be serviced by Mobile Auto Shine. Thank you in advance for accepting these “common-sense” terms and conditions to ensure the best service is rendered and expectations are fully met or exceeded.
STAINS: Some stains and etching on either the interior or exterior surface may be unfortunately permanent and would not be fully removed.
ODOURS: Odours may be reduced but in no way advertised or guaranteed to be fully removed as there are locations out of reach/out of scope (i.e. cabin filter, internal vent ducting and areas behind dashboard, foam within seats, floor carpet underlayment, foam beneath headliner, etc)
PROTECTIVE GREASE: We do not remove rust-proofing, grease, and similar coatings applied for functional purposes found in inconspicuous areas such as on seat tracks, door hinges, door surrounds, latches, hood and interior fenders, and rear trunk door surrounds. If such areas need to be degreased, please state this at booking. An extra cost may apply to be determined onsite with approval by the customer.
GEAR SELECTOR GATE CLEANING: For MOBILE SERVICE, we do not operate the vehicle’s gear selector (i.e. from Park to Drive) and therefore cannot completely clean the vehicle’s gear selector gate that is exposed when the shifter is moved. If this area requires cleaning, advise us at the time of the service and we will clean it while the owner of the vehicle performs the gear selector operation.
Bad Weather
If the weather is uncooperative, the service will be performed indoors with a complimentary shuttle service within 20km of 51 Russell St, Georgetown, ON. Alternatively, we can reschedule to the next available date or perform the service in the customer’s garage; size, space, and favorable environmental conditions-permitting.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the appointment due to inclement weather which includes but not limited to rain, snow, heavy winds, cold temperatures, heat waves, high humidity, and other related uncooperative natural conditions.
Additional Charges Acceptance
You accept that extreme heavily soiled vehicles may be refused and/or incur additional charges proportional to additional time and products required.
A distance surcharge is applicable to service addresses outside our service zone, determined upfront at time of booking.
No Show, Cancellation and Rescheduling
A vehicle not present or not accessible 15 mins after the appointment’s start will be considered a No Show. You accept that it will be subject to a $50 charge plus any distance surcharge per your booked appointment, to recover from lost staff wages and travel expenses, invoiced to you.
You accept that a cancellation within 24hrs will be subject to a $30 cancellation fee invoiced to you. You can reschedule with no fee if the request is submitted prior to 24hrs of your appointment start – send us an email at contact@mobileautoshine.ca. Mobile Auto Shine reserves the right to reschedule at any time based on weather or related unforeseen business circumstances.
Health & Safety, Property and Vehicle Access
You confirm there are no animals, rodents, blood, feces/urine, mold, insects, weapons, sharp objects, syringes, cosmetic and/or mechanical issues in or around the vehicle that could harm us during the service – you accept that we will refuse service subject to a $50 charge invoiced to you.
You confirm there is an authorized location to park our servicing vehicle within 20 feet, unobstructed to your vehicle being serviced. For safety liability reasons, your vehicle must be on a paved or gravel surface with a minimal incline and cannot be on a street, underground/condo, or in a gated paid parking lot.
You confirm there is a minimum 4 ft around the perimeter of the vehicle to safely and effectively service it.
We may connect to your location’s available electrical outlet during the service which you accept the breaker may trip if you have other electrical devices running at the same time.
You accept that a newly sealed (< 12 months) driveway’s finish may be subject to slight discoloration from the wheel cleaners used during the service.
You accept that any loose items not removed in the vehicle may be considered as garbage and be discarded. We are not liable for any lost items.
You accept that child car seats, seat covers, attached stands, transponders, subwoofers, and other custom installed items will not be removed, cleaned, or displaced and may compromise the service’s quality.
Payment
Prices listed are subject to additional local taxes (HST). We accept cash, credit card, debit card, or e-transfer. Payment is due following the completion of the service up to within 2 days as stated on the invoice, and is the full responsibility of the person who booked the appointment.
Ceramic and Other Coatings Lifespan
Due to many uncontrolled variables such as weather and owner maintenance of the vehicle, unless otherwise stated, we do not warrant the longevity of the stated coating(s) including but not limited to ceramic, polymer, water repellent, and other related interior and exterior coatings and protections.
Battery Drain, Hidden Damage, and Engine Shampoo Liability
Your vehicle’s battery may discharge as doors are required to be open and power seats moved front/back during the service, for which we cannot be held liable.
We clean in and around the parking brake handle by operating/lifting/releasing it as per normal operation, but on older vehicles, the parking brake may seize for which we cannot be held liable.
Due to our thorough cleaning processes, positioning of seats, steering wheel, mirrors, etc may not be in the same position as when we started the service.
Any worn, loose, or damaged materials and components in your vehicle that may have been previously concealed of any damage by grime, dirt, coatings, stickers, etc, may appear as damaged after our cleaning service, for which we cannot be held liable.
Embedded salt in carpeting can pull at and damage your vehicle’s carpet fibers as the crystals grow and harden over time. As such, the carpeting, including mats, may be frayed after the removal of salt which we cannot be held liable.
ENGINE SHAMPOO service: We take great caution in covering exposed sensitive components such as but not limited to the air intake, battery, fuse box, spark plugs, distributor cap, and other visible wiring and connectors before gently washing the engine compartment with minimal water and pressure. We also immediately blow dry any standing water. Although modern engines are air, dust, and water-tight , there may be hidden underlying issues such as poor seals, bad O2 sensor, loose connectors, etc that may result in an engine issue. As such, you accept this risk and do not hold Mobile Auto Shine accountable for any powertrain and/or electrical issues and repair costs in such cases.
Photographs and Video
You accept that the pictures and/or video we take of your vehicle and its surrounding area, becomes the property of Mobile Auto Shine and may be used for social media, on our website, and/or for marketing purposes.
