The terms and conditions outlined herein pertain to Mayes Auto Detailing’s policy for its clients. By utilizing the services provided by Mayes Auto Detailing, all clients agree to abide by the terms and conditions presented below.
Guiding Principles
Our guiding principle is to offer our clients a seamless and stress-free detailing experience. We prioritize the meticulous care of your vehicle and pledge not to perform any service that could potentially lead to harm or damage to your vehicle.
Vehicle Condition and Pre-Service Disclosure
Before Mayes Auto Detailing undertakes any services on your vehicle, you, as the vehicle owner, are required to inform us of any cosmetic or mechanical issues that might hinder us from completing the detail. These could include issues such as a low battery, a trunk that cannot be opened, windows that do not function properly, peeling clear coat, damaged trim, or malfunctioning electrical components.
Health and Safety
If your vehicle poses a potential threat to our health and safety, please inform us. In the event of any hazardous substances (e.g., needles, drugs, gasoline) being present in the vehicle, you must alert your detail technician prior to the detail. You will be held accountable for any health or safety issues arising from your vehicle.
Service Denial
If circumstances prevent us from detailing your vehicle once you arrive at our location, the full amount of the scheduled appointment will still be charged. Mayes Auto Detailing reserves the right to decline service.
Communication
Communication is crucial to ensuring the best possible service. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you authorize Mayes Auto Detailing to send and receive text messages and emails related to appointment scheduling, reminders, updates, and other relevant information. This facilitates efficient communication, enhancing your overall experience. Your contact information will be used solely for communication related to our services, maintaining your privacy. If you have any reservations or wish to opt out of these communication methods, please notify us, and your preferences will be duly respected.
Pricing and Additional Charges
Pricing varies based on vehicle size, chosen package, and condition. Additional charges apply for extensive stains, excessive pet hair, debris removal, personal item removal, and steam cleaning (if required) due to the additional time involved. Clients will be informed of any additional charges before the work is done.
Pet Hair Removal Policy
If pet hair is found in the vehicle, and it is deemed necessary for removal using manual means, Mayes Auto Detailing will automatically apply a charge of at least $75, even if pet hair removal was not selected as part of the service.
Vehicle Storage Fees
Starting 24 hours after the service is completed, a storage fee of $25 per day will be applied if the vehicle is not picked up. This fee is non-negotiable and will continue to accrue daily until the vehicle is retrieved. Mayes Auto Detailing is not responsible for any damage that may occur to vehicles left on the premises beyond the agreed pick-up time.
Abandoned Vehicles
If a vehicle is left on our premises for more than 30 days without payment or communication, Mayes Auto Detailing reserves the right to take legal action to declare the vehicle abandoned in accordance with Tennessee state law. This process includes making a reasonable effort to notify the vehicle’s owner and providing them with a legally required period to respond and retrieve their vehicle.
If the vehicle remains unclaimed after this period, Mayes Auto Detailing may file for an abandonment title and sell the vehicle to recover unpaid fees, including but not limited to storage fees and the cost of filing for the title. All accrued charges, including storage fees, will be deducted from the proceeds of the sale. If the sale results in excess funds after all fees are covered, Mayes Auto Detailing will comply with Tennessee state law regarding the distribution of any surplus, which may require returning the remaining balance to the vehicle owner or lienholders.
Liability and Damage Reporting
Clients undertake to indemnify and hold harmless Mayes Auto Detailing, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any damage, loss, expense, cost, claim, and liability (including legal fees) arising from our services, excluding service-related property damage. Any claims for service-related damage must be reported within 24 hours of service completion.
Car Seats and Custom Equipment
Mayes Auto Detailing will neither install nor remove car seats or custom equipment unless absolutely necessary and with your approval.
We will neither install nor remove car seats from your vehicle. If you wish to have your car seat cleaned underneath, please ensure its removal prior to your appointment.
We will neither install nor remove custom equipment from your vehicle. This includes, but is not limited to, seat covers, subwoofers, light bars, pet protectors, and bumper stickers. If you would like these items cleaned underneath, please have them removed prior to your appointment.
Appointment Policy
An appointment with Mayes Auto Detailing is defined as a booking for one vehicle. If you book services for multiple vehicles, each vehicle is considered a separate appointment and will be subject to its own cancellation policy and fees.
Changes and Cancellations
If you need to modify your appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice, you have the following options:
- Reschedule Your Appointment: You can reschedule your appointment at no additional cost. We will work with you to find a suitable new date and time.
- Convert to a Gift Card: If you prefer, you can convert your appointment into a gift card for the amount of your deposit. This gift card can be used for future services at Mayes Auto Detailing.
No-Call, No-Show Policy
If you fail to show up for your scheduled appointment without notifying us in advance, we will retain the 30% appointment confirmation fee as a no-show fee. This policy ensures we are compensated for the time reserved for your service.
Payment Terms
If the total service amount is less than $200, full payment is required at the time of scheduling to confirm your appointment. For services totaling $200 or more, a 30% confirmation fee (minimum $50) is required. This fee is non-refundable if the appointment is canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled date and time. Payment can be made using cash, debit, or credit cards, and is due upon completion of the detail. A 3.5% admin fee will be applied to all credit and debit card transactions. If the invoice is not paid in full within 24 hours of service completion, a 5% late fee will be applied. An additional 1.5% per month late fee will accrue on any unpaid balances after the initial 24-hour period. Payment is required before the vehicle is released.
Marketing and Media Release
We seek your permission to capture pictures or videos of your vehicle for marketing purposes. These images and videos will not be sold or shared with third parties.
Reimbursement for Damages
Reimbursement will not be provided for minor cosmetic damage resulting from the detailing process. Reimbursement will be considered for significant damage caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct. Mayes Auto Detailing will approve the body shop and/or vendors before issuing any reimbursement.
Post-Detailing Issues
If any issues arise after the detail that were not noticed during the final inspection, you must contact us within 24 hours. If necessary, a touch-up detail should be scheduled within 5 days.
Indemnification
Clients commit to indemnifying and holding harmless Mayes Auto Detailing, its owners, employees, and affiliates from and against any and all liabilities, expenses, damages, and costs, including attorney and legal fees, resulting from any service provided or injury after our services have been completed.
Dispute Resolution
In the event of any disputes arising from our services, Mayes Auto Detailing will first seek to resolve the matter through amicable negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, the parties agree to submit the dispute to mediation before resorting to legal action. Mediation will take place in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and the parties will share the costs equally. If legal action is necessary, the prevailing party will be entitled to recover reasonable attorney’s fees and costs.
